A very Rocky Sunday. I mean, lucky Sunday. My sister and I were still catching our breaths when we got to the Orosa Atrium of Robinson's Manila. The guards looked so unfriendly and the sales ladies at the booth were unapproachable-looking too.''Sorry mga miss. yung may CD lang ang pwede pumasok sa loob e.''Darn.Having no money that time except the Php160 mom gave us plus my sister's Php100, and realizing the album's worth three hundred bucks, we left. With sad (and haggard faces), Xandra and I went to the ladies' room to retouch and find a way to get in there without all the fuss.''Text ko kaya si Daddy para hatiran tayo ng pera..''''Withdraw ko kaya yung natitira sa ATM ko..''''How can we earn at least 50 pesos in less than thirty minutes..''
Grabe.Desperate as it may sound, feel ko that time, I'd do anything just to get that cd and sit in front of the band. Yak no? Hehe.
We walked out of the comfort room and as we were about to finish the hallway, a young man was singing in front of us.As Xandra and I exchange quick glances, another lad passed our direction.I just followed my feet towards the singing guy.I asked if he was a member of The Bloomfields, he gave me that cute smile and said yes - both to the warlier question and if I could take a picture with him.I even told him I haven't bought a copy of their album yet. He told me it's okay and just wanted us to watch them perform later. After that, the other guy walked from the men's room.I asked the same question, but this time, I got a silent non-friendly response. I still took a picture with him anyway.Xandra, I could die now. (Uh, no. I have to find Rocky first. Haha.)But then, we returned to the Atrium and waited for the mall tour to start. We were still standing outside the low barricade when the guard finally decided to let us in. Finally. It was all because there was only a small number of people inside, and the show was about to start already.(..They cannot start with those empty seats.)We hurriedly went inside, and found the perfect spot on the third row, aisle part. Teehee.
The show started, with DJ SlickRick for Magic 89.9 as the host, and presented a little icebreaker in a form of a game.Anyone who knows the answer just raise their hands and they win a limited edition Bloomfiends shirt. The first question was already answered. The third question was so unfamiliar. The second question? I answered it.(..Unfortunately, the size was XL. It was still a good thing though. I have my brand new autographed sleepwear. Haha!)
The mini show was a blast.During their performance, I got a chance to shake hands with Jay-Jay (the singing lad I met earlier) and brushed clothes with Pepe, Louie (the other guy),And of course my ever-favorite drummer (alongside Bob of Hilera) Rocky. His charming eyes sparkle every time he sang. He just brightened my day even more.(Kind of reminds me of someone..Sigh. :x:x)They have this autograph signing afterwards so we stayed.Due to the boring sight of the packing up of their things, Xandra went to the selling counter and asked the lady for a poster. She got one even though those were supposedly just free items for those who would buy The Bloomfields' CD.We got the chance to let them sign our literally 'free' gifts.(..Or should I call them blessings from above?)And have our pictures taken together with the band members. We ate at Breadtalk before going home..still singing Ale and Alam mo na yun.Haaay.So there goes my day.Oh, thank you so much to Vina who told me all about their mall tour. (..Also an addict but wasn't able to watch because she have to attend mass. Just grab those pix sa Friendster.Haha.)PLUG: Please do check their website. Cute layout. Nice Gallery. :))
