Last Tuesday, my groupmates and I went to MAPECON office to finish our documentary. Since the place is located in Vito Cruz, we all agreed to make Tropical Hut our meeting place. It is located right in front of La Salle's main building. It was raining really hard that time. I didn't got my feet wet even though I wore slippers because a kind-hearted Manong sidecar drove me from our house towards the busy Taft.I got down just beside Tropical Hut, after removing my blue jacket. (I was afraid to get killed right then and there. LOL.)I decided to stay outside Tropical Hut. Not just because bystanders are not allowed inside at tipid mode ako, but also because of this one thing:Masarap manuod ng mga lasalistang nawawalan ng poise dahil sa ulan. :))Maraming pedicab sa tabi ng Tropical Hut to offer a ride from there to anywhere - dry.(Haha!)But then ayaw ng mga ever-great students sumakay.A few decided to stay sa loob ng food chains sa Taft. The others, hailed a cab from that corner to McDo. (If you haven't seen how FAAAAAAR that is, you'll never smile the way I did.) :))Also, Bebie and I noticed a few students crossed Taft Avenue even though the stoplight is green. We remarked: Siguro color blind na sila every time they see their color.. and perhaps they don't want to walk when it's red. Haha! :))May ilan pa akong nakitang students na hindi mapakali dahil yung supposedly way papunta sa sidewalk ay flooded. They decided to walk in the middle of Taft Avenue - with cars and jeepneys going their opposite direction. :))Another group of students decided not to smash their egos and walked straight sa baha. Two got their Guess and Giordano skinny jeans wet, one got his Vans shoes wet, the other slipped and almost fell. :))After that they complained:''Yuck. I got my bag wet! Hindi pa naman siya waterproof!''''Eewww. Sinong may tissue?''Well, normal students would complain the same things.''You know what, I didn't brought my umbrella coz it's red eh..''But only a lasalista would complain this way. :))After the rain and the flood across Vito Cruz had subsided, there are still a few tambays making money. They carry lasalistas' paperbags and other stuff..They offer umbrella service from one side of Taft to the other..Oh, the first of three (I bet it would only be two!) games is set this afternoon. Perhaps Vito Cruz Taft Avenue is quiet at this very moment. It's Christmas in October said Franz Pumaren. It's another treat to a poshed restaurant for Dindo. At least Pearly and Bebie would be happier because they would see how La Salle would be crushed by UE during the game right? One thing's for sure.Lasalistas might never learn to enjoy rainy seasons.Buti pa sa UP, students are willing to get down and dirty no matter the weather. Haha. :))And oh!Nagtataka si Jaja why is everyone looking at her while she's walking towards our meeting place.(She's wearing a red jacket. Hmmm, baket nga ba?)
